The 'Error loading waveform' indicates an issue with your Omnisphere library. If you are receiving this error, please follow the steps below:

1.) Make sure Omnisphere shows that 'You are up to date √'. To ensure that you're up to date, you can click on 'Get Updates' on the splash screen of Omnisphere. To get back to the Splash screen, you can click the Spectrasonics Logo in the upper-right section of Omnisphere.

You also need to Patch both Omnisphere.dll files in Program Data. All 4.Dll's need to be patched or Omnisphere will not work! (You also need to do it again when you UPDATE Omnisphere) When done, open your DAW (I used FL Studio) in Admin mode, Load an instance of Omnisphere 2, and it will give you a Challenge Code. (You also need to do it again when you UPDATE Omnisphere) When done, open your DAW (I used FL Studio) in Admin mode, Load an instance of Omnisphere 2, and it will give you a Challenge Code. Hit the button 'Copy' near the Challenge Code text. 2) Paste the code into R2R Tool's smaller text box, located above the three buttons. I have installed Omnisphere three times, but the same thing keeps happening. After the install, I launch FL and open an instance of Omnisphere. The very first patch I select shows the progress percentage reach 100%, then I get a popup error: Cannot load SoundSource 'blah, blah' from Directory Core Library. File 'xxxx.zmap' may be missing. So when you were installing you had to select the STEAM Folder, that steam folder is empty extract all the files starting with Spectrasonics Omnisphere2d1, until the last one, dyn-somni2d8. That one by one copy the steam folders from all the extracted files into the first one you extracted the file size after should be around 55.3 GB than go to the original steam folder that you used to.

2.) If you are up to date, confirm that your Wavetables folder is 1.98gb for Mac, and 1.84gb for Windows. You can find that folder here:

Mac:

Macintosh HD / Users / Your Username / Library / Application Support / Spectrasonics / STEAM / Omnisphere / Wavetables

Note: In Mac OS X 10.7 – 10.14, the Library folder in each User folder is hidden. Select the Go menu at the top of your screen while in Finder mode, then hold the ‘option’ key on your keyboard, then select Library. If you are unable to locate your User Library in OS X 10.12, select the Go menu at the top of your screen while using the Finder, then select Go to Folder; enter ~/Library – then select Go.

Windows:

C:/ ProgramData/ Spectrasonics/ STEAM/ Omnisphere/ Wavetables

Note: The ProgramData folder is a hidden folder by default on Windows 10 / 8 / 7 / Vista, so you'll need to 'Show Hidden Files and Folders' in your Control Panel / Folder Options.

3.) Navigate to the STEAM folder using the steps above, and make sure that your Omnisphere folder is the proper size.

4.) If you are using any disk management software such as CCleaner, Revo, Norton, MacKeeper, etc., make sure that your STEAM folder is exempted by those 'cleaning' utilities so that they don't inadvertently remove necessary files from STEAM.

Documents And Settings is normally a hidden file. To 'Show Hidden Files' go to Start Menu/Control Options/Folder Options//View tab. Select the 'Show Hidden Files and Folders' option and hit 'Apply'

The data files for Omnisphere are stored in your STEAM folder. When you update your patches or soundsources, you are updating files in your STEAM folder, which was created when you originally installed Omnisphere. Your STEAM folder is located inside your Spectrasonics folder. See the instructions below to find your Spectrasonics folder. Inside your Spectrasonics folder you'll find STEAM, which may be the STEAM folder, or it may be an alias (Mac) or Shortcut (Window) to the STEAM folder.

On Mac, the Spectrasonics folder is located here:

Macintosh HD/Users/<Your Username>/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics

From Mac OS X 10.7 and higher, Apple have made the User - Library folder a hidden folder by default. This is to stop general Mac users fiddling with settings, however, music makers will require using this folder from time to time.

Storing sound files on a secondary drive

If you are wanting to store your Omnisphere audio files on a second hard drive, you can put the Spectrasonics/STEAM folder onto your second drive. You will then need to create an alias or 'short cut' to this location on your main Mac or Windows drive. You can create an alias (Mac) or a short cut (Windows) by right-clicking (ctrl+click for Mac users) the STEAM folder and selecting it from the menu.

Once you have done this, you will then need to either locate or create the following folder on your main drive:

On Mac, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be created here:

Macintosh HD/Users/<Your Username>/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics

On Windows Vista and Windows 7, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be located here:

C:ProgramDataSpectrasonics

On Windows XP, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be created here:
C:Documents And SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSpectrasonics

You will then need to move the STEAM alias folder (or the STEAM short cut folder) into the Spectrasonics folder on your main drive.

Note: On Mac, once you have placed the 'STEAM alias' folder on your main drive, you will need to rename it removing the word alias from the file, otherwise it will not work. You should now have a 'STEAM' folder on your main drive that is pointing to its actual location on your second drive.
Now when you close and re-launch your host application, Omnisphere should be pulling the audio files from off of the second hard drive.
